Keystone Indivisible

is a local chapter of Indivisible established in Centre County, PA in December 2024. We work to combat authoritarianism, elect progressive candidates, and build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive society. To achieve this, we educate the public, organize peaceful actions, promote progressive policies, and collaborate with other organizations to lift up all people who live and work in Centre County.

We the People means All the People

πŸ—“οΈ Sunday, June 14, 10:30am to 3:00pm

πŸ“ Toftrees Overpass, Waddle Rd. and Colonnade Boulevard

On June 14, 1777, the Second Continental Congress adopted the flag design we use today and the first Flag Day was proclaimed by President Woodrow Wilson in 1916. June 14, 2026, Keystone Indivisible will observe Flag Day at the Toftrees Overpass.

Starting at 10:30 AM on Sunday, June 14, we will have three 90 minute shifts for you to choose from to attend. We plan to attach as many U.S. flags as we can to the overpass fence. Overpass and bridge traffic messages will relate to flag day. Signs and flags are welcome. We will bring signs that can be held also. Waddle Road bridge traffic messages (upper) are as important as the I-99 incoming traffic messages (lower).

Located at the I-99 Overpass at Toftrees exit (near Waddle Road & Colonnade Boulevard). Parking is behind nearby Sheetz and NOT BEHIND Cracker Barrel.

The block on the right below says: Join us to discuss July's book: Mutual Aid by Dean Spade.

Resistance Readers Book Discussion

πŸ—“οΈ Wednesday, July 22, 6:00 – 7:30pm

πŸ“ Schlow Centre Region Library (Downsbrough Community Room) (211 S Allen St, State College, PA 16801)

Mutual aid is the radical act of caring for each other while working to change the world.

Around the globe, people are faced with a spiraling succession of crises, from climate change-induced disasters to ongoing societal horrors. As governments fail support the vulnerable, ordinary people are finding bold and innovative ways to step up.

Dean Spade’s book “Mutual Aid” is about why mutual aid is so important, what it looks like, and how to do it. It provides a grassroots theory of mutual aid, describes how mutual aid is a crucial part of powerful movements for social justice, and offers concrete tools for organizing, such as how to work in groups, how to foster a collective decision-making process, how to prevent and address conflict, and how to deal with burnout.

On Wednesday, April 22 we will come together to discuss Dean Spade’s “Mutual Aid” with the goal of organizing our own actions. Anyone is welcome, and while we encourage you to read the book beforehand if you can, it is not a requirement!
